The Bridge School of Long Island
All Classes are held at Temple Emanu-El

EVERY TUESDAY from 8:00 - 10:00 pm.
August 9  to  September 13, 2011

Taking lessons, studying and reading about Bridge is not the same as learning how to play Bridge. Repetition and practice are essential to true learning. My advanced-beginner course offers you that opportunity.

The advanced-beginner sessions review how opener and responder determine WHERE to play and HOW HIGH to bid, as well as, how Declarer counts LOSERS and WINNERS.

I start each lesson with a "Basic Bidding Review" and then bid and play a number of lesson hands that illustrate the subject of the day. Each session is like studying a chapter of a book and features a different declarer-play theme. The subjects covered are TIMING, ENTRY MANAGEMENT, TRUMP MANAGEMENT, and DEFENSE.

If you feel that your prior Bridge education and experience make a beginner course unnecessary, you will want to start in The Bridge School program by attending the advanced-beginner sessions. If you have been away from the game and want to brush up on the basic skills, this is the course for you to take. You can choose the sessions you attend.

Below you will find the 2011 weekly schedule of subjects.
