This is a list of bridge-related Web Sites or Web Pages that offer FREE bridge software. I think you will enjoy these programs and find them useful.

Bridge Master is my #1 download recomendation for two reasons. First, you will truly enjoy the Bridge Master demo that you get. Second, because this download is relatively small at 600 KB and will probably take about 3 minutes to complete, it presents an opportunity to learn how safe and easy it is to download from the Internet, so you can enjoy all the free software that's available.

Below you will find a link to CLICK that will initiate the Bridge Master demo download process. When you CLICK on it, a dialog box will appear asking you to pick between two different downloading techniques. Unless you know better, I recommend you select the top choice "Run this program from its current location" by clicking a black dot into the circle that precedes it and then OK. The download will begin and a status box appears.

You don't have to, but I recommend that you leave the computer alone while the download is in progress.

Once the download is done, the Bridge Master demo will automatically start to install itself on your hard drive. Trust me and ignore any security warnings that may appear and click Next or Finish whenever those buttons appear.

The program is then permanently installed in your computer. You can run it any time you want by pressing Start, selecting Programs, opening the Bridge Base folder and running the Bridge Master Demo.

If you should want to purchase the full Bridge Master program, I have them in stock in East Meadow.

Click the Print icon on the toolbar so you have a printed copy of the directions before you begin.

  Easy Bridge is a FREE program that let's you bid as well as play. I find it to be as good as the commercial programs that you pay $50 or $60 for.

You can follow the downloading instructions above, but be prepared for a much longer download time. The Easy Bridge setup file is large at almost 5 MB.

EASY BRIDGE

If you know nothing about the game of Bridge and would like to learn, this FREE program is exactly what you want. Learn To Play Bridge gives you the opportunity to read and PRACTICE the fundamentals of Bridge.

If you already play Bridge, but know someone who would like to learn, the 1.4 MB download fits perfectly onto a floppy disk ("Save this program to disk"). You will have to fill out a registration form before you can begin the download.

LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE

The Convention Card Editor lets you fill out official ACBL convention cards on your computer screen and then print them out in color on your printer.

You can create as many different cards as you like -- one for each partner. You save them on your hard disk and can edit and reprint them whenever you like.

At 2.9 MB, this program will take some time to download.
